NIKE'S newest outlet store officially opened in St Helens this morning.
Highlighting the excitement surrounding Nike's opening, crowds of people gathered outside the new shop to be the first ones to take a look inside.
Located between Marks and Spencers and Flannels on Ravenhead Retail Park, the new team treated crowds to a Saints-themed chant to mark the occasion on Thursday, October 27.

Singing "when the swoosh goes marching in", the retail and management team were in full spirits as they cut the ribbon for the grand opening and welcomed customers in for the first time.
Inside the large 'Unite' outlet, the store is stocked with a range of products from fitness to fashion, and sports to sweats.
The sports giant has hundreds of boxes of trainers to choose from, with the popular Free Run, Fly-Knit, and Air Max shoes available in store.
There is also a range of running gear, loungewear, and sportswear as well as football tops and boots.
With the busy store housing a resident DJ on its opening day, there was definitely an air of excitement as the shop finally opened to the public.
Amid a cost of living crisis, it also proves that St Helens can still attract some big-name retailers into the town, with Nike looking to capitalise on shopping habits in the lead-up to Christmas.
While the opening is great for investment in the town, St Helens Council has noted that there must be a balance between retail parks and the town centre, and not let the success of one be a detriment to the other.
Speaking to the Star earlier this year, Councillor Kate Groucutt, cabinet member for economy, business & skills, said:
“Investment from these well-known brands is very welcome as it contributes to the local economy, helps to improve the vitality of the town and bring jobs for local residents.
"We know the retail landscape has changed drastically over the years, with retail parks and online shopping now a convenient choice for many as part of an overall shopping experience.
“But as a council with major regeneration plans for its town centres, we know how important the high street is to residents as well.
"It’s all about finding the right balance, and having a good choice of offers will help bring local shoppers and those from further afield into St Helens to spend their leisure time.”
