POLICE say a man who was arrested on suspicion of dealing Class A and Class B drugs after a raid on a property on Tuesday afternoon has been released under investigation.

Officers swooped on an address in Thatto Heath on Tuesday, October 26, and seized Class A and Class B drugs.

A man was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs.

The suspect, a 31-year-old man from Clock Face, has been released as inquiries continue, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman said.

After the arrest, officers in St Helens had shared a post about the raid on social media, littered with Halloween puns.

It read: "Trick or Treat!

"I don't think officers from Team 3 have got the hang of this? Are we supposed to wait for them to answer?

"Halloween came early today for the occupants of an address in St Helens this afternoon, as Seven officers from Team 3 burst through the door like a scene from The Shining. Nevermind Elm Street, this was a Nightmare in Thatto Heath.

"IT was A Quiet Place until we arrived. They should have seen the Signs but they never Saw us coming.

As per usual, we had a Sixth Sense about this address and we found The Thing we were looking for - Class A and Class B drugs. Child's Play."

The post added: "Just to compound his Misery, the occupant was arrested on suspicion of possession with intent to supply Class A and Class B drugs. His Final Destination will now be one of the cells in the Sleepy Hollow of Belle Vale custody suite.

"We will Carrie on targeting addresses across St Helens. If you have any information that will assist then please Ring us.

"Have a great evening and stay safe."
