A TWELFTH man has been arrested in connection with the murder of Ashley Dale.

Ashley Dale, a 28-year-old Environmental Health officer at Knowsley Council, was shot in her back garden in Old Swan, Liverpool, in the early hours of Sunday, August 21.

A 25-year-old man from St Helens has been arrested on Tuesday, October 11 on suspicion of assisting an offender.

He has been taken to a police station for questioning and remains in custody.

A total of 12 arrests have now been made and all suspects remain on conditional bail or under investigation.

The 25-year-old becomes the fourth person from St Helens to be arrested as part of the investigation.

A 31-year-old man, a 23-year-old woman, and a 48-year-old woman from the town have also been arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.

As part of their investigation, police are continuing to appeal for information after footage was issued of a car believed to have been driven in the area shortly before the incident was reported.

Police urge anyone with any details surrounding this incident to come forward.
