THE funeral of a woman who was murdered in Haydock will take place on Tuesday.
A service will be held in memory of Jacqueline 'Jaki' Forrest at St Helens Crematorium on Tuesday, October 11 at 11.30am.
Ms Forrest, who was 49, was found dead at a house on Piele Road in the early hours of Wednesday, August 31.
A post-mortem examination revealed that the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head and manual asphyxiation by strangulation or suffocation.
On Monday, a man pleaded guilty to Jaki's murder and the attempted murder of two other people.
Since the news of her passing, tributes flooded in for the 49-year-old.
In a public announcement published in the Star, announcing her funeral details, Jaki was described as a "beloved daughter" and "loving sister".
It read: "Sadly passed away at home on the 31st August, aged 49 years.
"Beloved daughter of Graham and Evelyn. Loving sister of Stephen and Andrew.
"Jaki will be greatly missed by all her family and many friends.
"A funeral service will take place for Jaki on Tuesday 11th October at St Helens Crematorium 11.30am."
The announcement added: "Family flowers only. Donations if so desired will be gratefully received c/o the Family or Funeral Director and sent to a charity chosen by the family, in accordance with their wishes.
