A PLANNING application has been submitted seeking permission to convert a former bank building.

Proposals aim to turn the ex-TSB branch on Ellamsbridge Road, Sutton, into four one-bedroom apartments and one studio apartment.

An application has been sent to St Helens Council's planning department by HS Property Group.

The application states: "The proposal seeks permission for the change of use of existing vacant bank to four single bedroom apartments and one studio apartment".

The TBS branch closed in May after it was one of 70 across the country axed by the bank.

The planning application is on public consultation until Tuesday, October 4, with a determination deadline set for November 2.
