A WOMAN was taken to hospital after being hit by a car.
The Star reported as a large police presence was at the scene on the road near to Geno's takeaway and the Duke of Cambridge pub on Friday night, September 9.
A 20-metre section of Duke Street was closed off.

An ambulance also attended the scene, with people at the scene saying they believed a woman had been knocked down by a vehicle.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said there had been "a collision a Mazda Antares and a woman pedestrian".
He said: "There was an RTC (road traffic collision).
"The call came in at just before 10pm of a collision between Mazda Antares and woman pedestrian at junction of North Road/Duke Street.
"She was taken to hospital."
He added the road was reopened at 11.50pm and the woman's injuries were "not life threatening".
