FLORAL tributes in memory of Queen Elizabeth II are set to be left at the base of the Queen Victoria statue in St Helens.
Proud Brits across our town can pay their respects to the woman who has been the face of the nation for more than 70 years by leaving tributes at the statue next to St Helens Town Hall.
The flowers will be left in place until Monday, September 19.
People are gathering outside key points in their towns to leave tributes, with many also travelling to London to leave flowers outside Buckingham Palace.
A book of condolence will be opened to the public at St Helens Town Hall reception today Friday, September 9 from 2pm to 5pm.
Arrangements are in place for disabled access and an online book of condolence will also be available in due course.
