TWO boys who were arrested after a suspect allegedly jumped into a swamp after trying to flee police have been released under investigation.
Officers spotted two youths on a motorbike being ridden along the Rainford bypass on Friday, September 2.
The first boy tried to escape officers by throwing himself into a nearby swamp, police said.

He was fished out with a rope a short time later by officers and was unharmed.
Two boys, a 13-year-old and a 15-year-old boy, from Skelmersdale, were arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle and other driving offences.
They have since been released under investigation, a police spokeswoman confirmed.
