FIREFIGHTERS were called to extinguish a blaze at the site of a derelict building.
Crews attended the former Yates garage on Merton Bank Road, at Islands Brow, on Sunday afternoon, September 4.
Fire crews put out the blaze, which involved "a large quantity of rubbish".

A Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service spokeswoman said: "MFRS was called to Merton Bank Road, St Helens, on Sunday, September 4.
"Crews were alerted at 2.39pm and on scene at 2.43pm. Two fire engines attended.
"On arrival crews found a large quantity of rubbish involved in fire.
"Firefighters used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.
"Crews left the scene at 2.52pm."
