A MAN charged with murder following the discovery of the body of a woman in Haydock last week will make his first appearance before a Crown Court today.
On Wednesday, August 31, the body of 49-year-old Jaki Forrest was discovered at house in Piele Road.
Robert Massey, 43, of Piele Road, Haydock, was charged with one count of murder and also two counts of attempted murder.
He appeared at Liverpool Remand Court on Saturday, September 3.
Massey will make an appearance at Liverpool Crown Court this morning, Monday, September 5.

A police statement on Friday evening read: "We are not looking for anyone else in connection with the incident in Piele Road but are continuing to appeal for anyone with information to contact us via DM @MerPolCC, call 101 or contact @CrimestoppersUK on 0800 555 111 quoting log 234 of 31st August."
