A NEW application for the partial demolition and renovation of a social club have been sent to the council.
Proposals for Greenalls Social Club in Eccleston, have been drawn up.
Initial plans were granted permission in 2020 for partial demolition of the club on Alder Hey Road and the creation of a rear extension and parking spaces.
Outline permission was also granted to two applications for the creation of 13 homes in total at the site.
A new amended application has now been sent seeking full planning permission for the works on the social club, and for 27 parking spaces.
A summary of the proposed works states: "The redevelopment of the existing Greenall’s Sports and Social Club will involve the partial demolition of existing beer cellar and snooker room followed by the erection of a new single-story extension to the rear of the club that will provide a new beer cellar that will serve all bar serveries of the club, a new snooker room, W.C. and re modelled lounge area".
It adds the club "as a whole will be completely refurbished internally with a makeover the existing external wall finishes to include re-roofing of the existing pitched and flat roof areas".
Plans add: "Externally the rear lawned area will become a car parking facility along with the existing front car parking area will provide 27 spaces that will include two disabled spaces".
The front existing car parking is "to be re-modelled and marked out to provide disabled parking and drop off area".
Plans state: "The upgrades to the thermal elements of the building will result in improvements to the noise outbreak from the premises during trading and reduce the impact upon the occupants of neighbouring properties".
Standard consultation on plans lasts until Monday, September 12, with a determination deadline set for October 11.
