TWO people have been conditionally bailed by detectives investigating the murder of Knowsley Council worker Ashley Dale.
Officers were called to an address in Leinster Road in Old Swan at around 12.40am on Sunday, August 21 following reports of concern for a woman at the property.
Emergency services attended and found Ashley Dale in the rear garden of the property with gunshot wounds to her body.
Paramedics provided CPR at the scene, and Ashley was taken to hospital but sadly died a short time later.
A 25-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from Liverpool, were arrested on Wednesday, August 24.
Both have now been conditionally bailed to a later date pending further enquiries.
Detective Chief Inspector Cath Cummings said: “We are grateful for all the information given to the investigation team so far and would ask that people continue to come forward. Something you may think is insignificant could prove vital, so let us assess every piece of information and take the appropriate action.
“Our thoughts remain with Ashley’s family in this awful time, and I’d ask anyone who knows what happened to do the right thing and support us and Ashley’s family in seeking justice.”
