A LORRY has ended up on its side after an incident on the East Lancs this afternoon, Monday.
Emergency services are in attendance at the incident, near to the Toby Carvery Waterside at Carr Mill.
It is believed the driver of the HGV, which was carrying a BOC tanker, may have suffered a medical episode.

A Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: "Crews were alerted at 4.13pm and on scene at 4.20pm.
"Four fire engines are at the scene.
"On arrival, crews were met with a single vehicle road traffic collision involving one heavy goods vehicle on its side."
He added: "Firefighting has commenced with one team of two firefighters in breathing apparatus using one hose reel, crews are in the process of establishing water supplies.
"North West Ambulance Service are in attendance to assess the driver of the wagon, who was out of the vehicle before MFRS arrived. They are conscious and breathing.
"Merseyside Police are also on scene and have closed the East Lancs Road A580 in both directions between Haydock and St Helens.
"This is an ongoing incident, please avoid the area."
In a statement police said: "Merseyside Police is advising motorists to avoid the East Lancashire Road (A580) near to Carr Mill Dam, Carr Mill, St Helens.
"The emergency services (Merseyside Police; Merseyside Fire and Rescue Service and the North West Ambulance Service) following reports that a heavy goods vehicle overturned on the Manchester bound carriageway of the road at about 4.10pm.
"It is believed that the driver may have suffered a medical episode and he has been taken to hospital by ambulance. No other vehicles were involved in the incident and no-one else is injured.
"The East Lancashire Road is closed between Stanley Bank Way at Carr Mill and Windle Island and will be in place until the vehicle is removed from the carriageway."
