A WOMAN in the public gallery of a courtroom was cautioned after she said the victim of a stabbing ‘got everything he deserved’.
Natasha Smith was supporting Lee Ashton at Liverpool Crown Court – who was being sentenced for a stabbing incident as well as a number of burglaries.
Ashton, 23, stabbed a man in the back after he became 'jealous' over his ex-girlfriend's new partner.
The victim was left bleeding 'profusely' on the road in Bewsey with a collapsed lung and pierced liver and would have died without emergency treatment from an ambulance which happened to be driving by.
Last Monday, Ashton, of Newton-le-Willows, was handed an eight-year prison sentence and an extended licence period of three years.
As he left the video link, he labelled the victim as a ‘grass’.
This prompted an outburst from Ms Smith who claimed the victim ‘got everything he deserved’ as she left the courtroom.
But she was called back in by Judge Dave Potter who told her he was considering finding her in contempt of court.
Again, this resulted in another angry outburst as Ms Smith claimed the victim threatened another girl with a knife.
But she walked free from court after apologising for her behaviour.
“I am sorry your honour, I am sorry everyone,” she said.
