BANK Holiday weekends are often the time to go on a pub crawl with your friends or family.
However, there will be one with a differnece held this Sunday as a 'Treasure Hunt' will be held for the first time by the St Helens and Districts CAMRA branch.
St Helens CAMRA are organising the event which takes place this Sunday, August 28.
Starting at The Cricketers Arms on Peter Street at noon, teams of up to six people who want to take part be given quiz sheets where they will then need to solve clues in specified town centre pubs, while enjoying some of the best real ale in St Helens.
There will be picture clues and riddles, which can only be solved by visiting the pubs on the route.
The pubs people need to visit will be revealed by solving the first set of clues before leaving The Cricketers Arms.

Ian Pye, St Helens and Districts pubs officer said: “This is our inaugural pub treasure hunt, which we hope will be the first of many as we’d love to make it an annual event. We can only do this though if people come and take part.
"The treasure hunt is a family-friendly event so everyone is welcome, so you don’t have to be a CAMRA member to take part.
“Ideally, we’d like teams to be up to 6 people and it’s £1 per person to enter. It’s going to be a treasure hunt with a difference so get down to the Cricks and join us for what should be a great afternoon.”
On return to The Cricketers Arms, the winners will be announced and will receive a free pint for their efforts.
Food will also be available for all those taking part.
