A ONE off boxing workout session is being held at Forge Fitness in memory of dad-of-one Jordan Yates who recently died in a car crash.

The 24-year-old died following a crash on Scafell Road, Moss Bank at about 2am on Thursday, August 11.

Jordan was a regular member of Forge Fitness in Rainhill and in tribute to him, a one off bag and bodyweight session will be held at the venue this Sunday, August 21 at 10.30am to raise funds for his family.

Owner Gary Crickson said: “Jordan was a good friend of the gym having been on and off from when we started.

“Anyone is welcome to join in, it's £5 for the class and also people are welcome to pop in to donate.

“Our brother Lee Clarke has kindly agreed to take the class.

“It would mean a lot if as many of the original crew could attend.

“Even if you don’t want to train, the bucket will be on the ring for anyone who wishes to donate.

“At the end we will observe a minutes silence for our brother Jordan, who will be loved and missed forever.”
