A FAMILY run business will open their home interior showroom today after growing the project through the pandemic.

With a "passion" for property and home interior, Tina Kelly started buying and selling small furniture items during the first lockdown in 2020.

Proving remarkably popular within the local community, Tina felt she had hit a "gap in the market" as there were not many options for bespoke and affordable furniture items from local, independent retailers.

Branding the business as 'Unique Home Interiors', the Kelly family, who also own St Helens Waste Recycling & Skip Hire, grew the company to accommodate larger furniture items for both inside and outside the home.

Reaching more than 10,000 people across their social media pages, Unique Home Interiors will open their first showroom on Brindley Road, Bold, on Saturday, August 20.

Tina, 54, said: "I've always had a passion for property and home interior, and to be a little bit creative.

"I started the business selling small items during lockdown but it has just grown and grown.

"The furniture kept getting bigger and bigger, and people kept asking if there was anywhere where they can view all of our products.

"So finally, we have our very first showroom, right by where we used to live."

Working with her two daughters on creating a showroom to their taste, Tina said she is both excited and nervous for its grand opening today.

Asked about what the unit will have on offer, she said their products include tailor-made beds, bespoke cushions and chairs, garden furniture, and everything in between.

"You name it, we've got it!", she added
