A SUMMER cycle event is set to take place in Newton-le-Willows next week.
The event organised by BikeRight will be held at Mesnes Park on Tuesday August 23 from 11-3pm.
The free session will be an opportunity for adults to have their bikes checked by Dr Bike.
Merseyside Police will be on hand to carry out security bike marking, with the Road Safety Team and Community Safety Team available to offer advice and free helmet checks.
Andy Tucker, Head of Marketing at BikeRight, said: "On the 23rd at Mesnes Park we’re running cycle skills and safety sessions for adults.
"They are great for anyone wanting to cycle on the roads around St Helens. There will also be some short cycling taster sessions for adults that can be signed up for on the day."
For those unable to make the day, there will also be a similar session on September 1 at Queens Park.

BikeRight has been offering its services for nearly two decades and in 2018 it partnered with Cycle Confident.
Both organisations have trained over 100,000 people a year across the UK in hopes of encouraging more to cycle.
