THE family of a young dad who died in a car accident has set up a GoFundMe page.

Jordan Yates was just 24 when he passed away on August 11.

His loved ones have now created the page in hopes of receiving donations from the public.

His girlfriend Leanne Mcqueen, 30, said: "He had a heart of gold. He was always the joker of everything and always made a joke out of every situation.

"He was always walking around with a smile on his face and he just wanted to help everyone in the best way he could.

"He adored his daughter Ava; he thought the world of her."

Jordan’s grandmother also said he was very respectful.

The family hope to use the funding towards a headstone and funeral for Jordan, with donations left over to be given to his four-year-old daughter Ava-Grace.

The fundraiser has currently raised £1,125 of its £2,000 target.

Jordan’s family also shared a heartfelt message on their GoFundMe page, describing him as ‘the type of lad who would do anything for anyone’ and that ‘anyone who had the pleasure in knowing him fell in love with his wild personality, amazing sense of humour and his gorgeous infectious smile.’
