TWO of St Helens' young stars from the world of entertainment went head-to-head on the bowling green at Ruskin Drive.
Coronation Street actor Jude Riordan and Britain's Got Talent finalist Jamie Leahey were both at Saturday's event.
While Johnny Vegas and a host of celebrities paired up with members of the public to battle it out for the Lol Pennington Memorial Cup, Jude and Jamie had a showdown of their own.
Jude, 11, from Lea Green, portrays Sam Blakeman in the ITV soap and has also appeared in Sky One comedy-drama Brassic.

Meanwhile, Jamie, from Rainford, was the runner-up in Britain's Got Talent, and won over the hearts of the nation with his wonderful ventriloquist act, alongside trusty companion Chuck.
Both youngsters had a fantastic day, as two of St Helens' bright stars met for the first time and put on a show for the watching crowds.
On Instagram, Jude posted: "What a BRILLIANT day! Finally got to meet @jamieleahey01 & Chuck (new Bessies) had so much fun hanging out with my mates and family, celebs 😎 and a pic with Peter Reid (he's played against Maradona 👀) THEN I did win against Jamie 11-8 (you can take the title next year Jamie 😜) AND took home signed Johnny Vegas bowls as a keepsake. THEN watched Jamie & Chuck at the aftershow party before sneaking off as knackered 😂 HELLO to everyone who came to say Hi to me, hope I wasn't a sweaty mess on all the pics. Thanks to the @spf.charity for having me back, think everyone had the best day!"
Meanwhile, Jamie added: "We had a great day @johnnyvegasreal celeb bowls event at Ruskin drive yesterday. Thanks for inviting us @spf.charity @blondelmartin @bevdixon50 . Met some lovely people and hopefully chuck wasn’t too cheeky! Bring on next year @justjude7 we’ll be practicing 😜😂🐔⭐️".
