POLICE are investigating after a bin was set alight outside a village library.
Officers received a report of the arson on View Road, Rainhill, which took place on Sunday evening, August 7.
A large bin had been torched outside Rainhill Library.
No arrests have yet been made in connection with the incident.
Officers have been conducting CCTV inquiries on View Road following the arson.

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We received a report that at around 10pm on Sunday, August 10, a large bin had been set alight outside Rainhill Library.
"No injuries were reported, but there was some damage to the tarmac caused by the fire."
