POLICE have reported a motorist for allegedly not having proper control of their car on the motorway.
Officers from Merseyside Police’s Roads Policing Unit made the stop this afternoon, Thursday, on the M62.
They pulled over a white Audi A3 close to junction eight for Burtonwood after they were allegedly spotted with "a fingertip" on the steering wheel.
Officers say this was due to the woman holding "a mobile phone in one hand and coffee in the other" while driving.
Posting on social media, the force said: “Despite having Bluetooth and Apple CarPlay, the driver of this Audi decided to use their mobile phone while driving, while holding a coffee in the other hand.
“The only control the driver had over the steering was with her fingertip. Traffic offence report issued.”
