FITNESS is a way of life for many people with so many sports, activities and classes available to keep our energy levels up and our minds and bodies healthy.
With Zumba classes, HIIT sessions and kick boxing as well as yoga, pilates and spin on offer, fitness fanatics are spoilt for choice.
But which of St Helens’ top gyms provides the best service?
Where do you go for a workout?
Our search to find St Helens’ Best for Fitness 2022 – which was won by Ashley-James Ward at Award Fitness – had an overwhelming response so we have decided to launch a separate bid to find St Helens’ Best Gym.
In our Best of 2022 campaign, we’ve given out 15 awards so far in St Helens for hair, nails, beauty, children, fitness, pubs, beer gardens and independent shop as well as pies, fish and chips, breakfast, afternoon tea, roast dinner, pizza and burger.
The Secret Halo, Envy Nails and Beauty, Chantel Louise Beauty, Willowbees, Ashley -James Ward, Cinema Bar, The Boathouse and Antonia’s Cakes together with Burchall’s, Chipmunk Fingerpost, Toast, Sunflower Coffee Shop, Brothers Burgers and The Brown Edge Pub twice have all been crowned winners in their respective categories.
Voting is currently taking place to find the town’s best cafe with the closing date midnight on Monday, August 15.
Ashley-James Ward from Award Fitness took the Fitness Instructor of the Year Crown in May and now we need your help to find the town’s perfect place for a workout.
Who will win St Helens’ Best Gym 2022?
Tell us which of the town’s gyms should make our shortlist and then the overall winner will be decided by you, our readers.
Which is your favourite place for a workout?
HOW IT WORKS:
Each Friday morning we will reveal new categories via our social media pages and ask you who is the best. Nominations close each Monday morning at 12pm.
Then each Thursday we will publish a shortlist of finalists with voting officially opening.
You will be able to vote in one of three ways:
- By commenting under the relevant post on our St Helens Star Facebook or Instagram pages = 1 vote
- By entering via the online article on our St Helens Star website = 2 votes
- By entering via our St Helens Star newspaper = 5 votes
The following Wednesday evening we will announce the winner of that category on social media. They will then be entered into the running for our overall Simply The Best award at the end of the competition.
Usual Newsquest competition rules apply. For more details go to newsquest.co.uk/terms So get in touch with your go-to pie shop and tell us who is amazing enough to be one of our Best Of 2022 finalists.
To make your nomination go to facebook.com/sthelensstar, find us on Instagram @sthelensstar or alternatively you can email your nomination, telling us the name of your favourite gym and why they deserve to be shortlisted, to heidi.summerfield@newsquest.co.uk
