POLICE have charged a man following a stabbing at a pub in Thatto Heath on Saturday (August 6).
Officers were called to reports of a man having been wounded at The Vine Tavern on Elephant Lane at about 8.55pm.
Paramedics treated the man for stab wounds to his arms, chest and head.
Police say it is believed that two offenders, one armed with a knife, were involved in the attack.
The victim remains in hospital where he is being treatment for his injuries which are described as serious, but not life-threatening.
Gareth Parr, 19, of Gibbons Avenue, Old Eccleston was arrested and has now been charged with Section 18 assault and causing grievous bodily harm with intent and possession of a bladed article in a public place.
He has been remanded into custody to appear at South Sefton Magistrates Court today (Monday, August 8).
