THE bomb squad were called after a World War Two device was found in a property garden.
Police and the army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) team attended Upton Close, Waterside Village this afternoon, Friday, July 29.
A police cordon was put in place in the area as a precaution.
The item was found to be a World War two training device and "posed no risk to the public".

A Merseyside Police spokeswoman said: "We can confirm police were in attendance in St Helens today, Friday. July 29, following the discovery of a suspected unexploded ordnance device.
"We received a report from a member of a public that the device had been found in a garden at around 2.55pm.
"The army’s EOD team attended and a cordon was in place as a precaution."
She added: "On further examination by the EOD team, the device was found to be an old World War Two training device which was safe and posed no risk to the public.
"The cordon has now been lifted.
"Thank you to local residents for their patience while this incident was dealt with."
