SAINTS boss Kristian Woolf has given an injury update on trio Louie McCarthy-Scarsbrook, Mark Percival and Will Hopoate.
He explained that Hopoate has trained well this week and has a chance of playing against Catalans in France on Saturday.
Mark Percival remains sidelined for a sixth week, while McCarthy-Scarsbrook has gone for a scan today.
If that scan is clear the veteran Londoner will resume contact training and be back for the Wigan game at Magic a week after next.
Woolf said: "Will has trained really well this week and is one we will make a decision on later on in the week. He has a very good chance of playing.
"With Mark Percival we need to make sure it is right and it is not right just yet. It has been six weeks but we are not going to rush him back and get desperate and have him in a position where he is out for a longer period again.
"We are making sure we are taking the cautious approach and when they are the field we are confident they will stay there.
"The other side is that we back our squad with players who come in and continue to do a great job."
McCarthy-Scarsbrook has been missing since breaking his cheekbone in the game at Toulouse at the start of the month.
"He gets a scan today and if comes back clear he is right to start contact and preparing for the Wigan game.
"He won't play this weekend even if he is cleared because he has not been able to do any contact or normal training because we have been protecting his face.
"If he is cleared today then we will get his body ready for contact again with a view to him playing against Wigan," Woolf said.
