A DEVELOPER has submitted a revised planning application over its upcoming creation of 180 homes.
New plans have been sent to St Helens Council amend the existing permission for Taylor Wimpey's new residential development, off Elton Head Road.
The development will comprise of 180 homes from the developer's new housetype range and provide a mixture of two bedroom apartments as well as two, three and four-bedroom detached and semi-detached homes suitable for a range of buyers including first-time buyers and families.
Taylor Wimpey says the Elton Head Road development will include measures such as an ecology buffer, and wildlife and drainage ponds in order to create a strong landscaping and enhanced ecology area to the scheme.
It adds the site is well located close to Lea Green railway station and will provide an extension of the cycle way and footpath on Elton Head Road as well as provide two new bus stops.
Ian Harrison, land and planning director at Taylor Wimpey North West, said: “We are delighted to have submitted our planning application for this new development and to continue to help bring much-needed new homes and investment into St Helens.
“We are confident that our proposal will bring a lasting positive impact to the area, and we are looking forward to receiving a decision on our planning application from St Helens Borough Council in due course.”
