A STAR of Phoenix Nights will headline a night of comedy this evening.
Justin Moorhouse will be joined by fellow stand ups for the show at Ruskin St Helens on Thursday, June 9.
The evening will be in support of Linzi and Kobi Prescott who are part of the team taking on the Everest Base Camp Challenge later this year.
Organisers say three comedians will provide the belly laughs along with compere Bobby Murdock.
Moorhouse is known for his roles on Peter Kay’s Phoenix Nights, Max and Paddy, Live At The Apollo, Coronation Street, & Looking for Eric.
He is a regular on the comedy circuit.
He will be joined at the Dentons Green venue by Tegan Marlow and Pete Philipson.
Marlow is an observational/anecdotal stand up comedian from Hampshire, now living and performing in Manchester.
She was a semi-finalist in the Funny Women Awards.
Philipson, meanwhile, is tipped to have a big future.
Originally from Lincolnshire, the Manchester-based act has been building a name for himself on the circuit over the last few years with his mixed fast-paced observations and routines with wonderful characterisations.
Pete is able to command an audience as well as he commands a variety of accents, wearing his comedy heart on his sleeve and leaving the audience in hysterics.
Doors open at 7.15pm. The show is 8.15pm.
Tickets are £12.50 from wegottickets.com/event/544711 or pay on the door.
