A FAMILY business dedicated to creating "special memories" has won a 'Positive Award' for its services to children in need.
Created by Anthony and Ella Goudie as a children's entertainment business in October 2021, A&E Entertainment has branched out into organising special days for children with terminal illnesses, special needs, or other health conditions.
With a focus on vulnerable children, the Thatto Heath-based charity funds unique moments for families through charity events, family excursions, and mascot visits for children to meet their heroes.
In recognition of their tireless efforts to bring lasting memories to struggling families, A&E was shortlisted for a 'Success Award' at a regional 'Positive Award' ceremony in Liverpool last month.
Described as an "honourary awards night celebrating the positivity in life", the ceremony looks to commemorate families, individuals, or businesses that work for the benefit of others.
On Saturday, April 30, A&E took home the Success Award which Anthony described as a "massive achievement" considering the business is less than a year old.
Anthony, a dad-of-three, said: "We feel overwhelmed by the love and support from not only Merseyside but from the UK in general.
"We bring smiles and happiness to those who need it the most [and] A&E Entertainment is only on the up.
"We are now an award-winning company [and] will act as ambassadors for our hometown and country to help as many families as we can."
With the Success Award proving that the business is on to a winning strategy, Anthony said that A&E will continue to branch out to bring more smiles to children across the country.
A funding application is currently in place to build a sensory centre for vulnerable children to attend, while further establishments and ideas to make more lasting memories are in the pipeline.
