AN EIGHTEEN-YEAR-OLD woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm in St Helens town centre.
Police arrested the woman on Thursday, May 4 on suspicion of breach of court bail and of possession of an imitation firearm in a public place.
They allege that the offences took place on Tuesday, May 3.
The suspect has been taken for interview.
In a statement, police said: "An 18-year-old female from Up Holland was yesterday arrested by officers from St Helens Local Policing Team.
"The female was arrested (on suspicion of) breach of court bail and possession of an imitation firearm in a public place.
"The offences (allegedly) occurred in St Helens town centre on May 3, 2022.
"She is currently in custody and awaiting interview."
