A MAN has been found guilty of offering stolen bottles of spirits for sale.
Surash Kumar, of Charles Street, St Helens, appeared at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court on April 11 for a trial.
He had previously pleaded not guilty to a charge of handling stolen goods.
However, he was convicted of, between January 18, 2020, and April 28, 2020 at Best One convenience store, in Charles Street, handling stolen goods, namely bottles of various spirits belonging to Law Distribution Ltd by offering them for sale.
Kumar, a Sri Lankan national, was found guilty after a trial.
The case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.
Kumar was granted unconditional bail until his sentencing hearing, which is scheduled for May 24 at the magistrates' court.
