THE COMMUNITY of St Helens are in awe of a 13-year-old who dazzled Britain's Got Talent judges.
Jamie Leahey, from Rainford, received a standing ovation from the Britain's Got Talent crowd and judges for his ventriloquist performance.
Entertaining the crowd with jokes, quips, and a quirky cover of Frank Sinatra and Sammy Davis Jr's 'Me and My Shadow', he was given four 'yes' votes from Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, David Walliams, and Alesha Dixon.
Jamie, who learned ventriloquism over lockdown, was told by Amanda Holden that he "absolutely smashed" his performance and has a bright "future ahead of him".
Proudly telling judges that he is from St Helens, he said that his dream is for his name to be up in lights in Las Vegas.
After his television appearance aired on Saturday, April 16, Jamie's two-minute performance has been widely shared and celebrated by the people of St Helens.
