THERE is a host of family events around St Helens over Easter - some are free and others are ticketed.
We have rounded up a selection if you are planning on getting out and about.
Easter Woodland Hunt at Carr Mill
An Easter Woodland Hunt will take place at the Boathouse, Carr Mill on Friday, April 15. There will be Easter treats, hot chocolate, arts and marshmallows. Tickets £7.95 per child
Easter Eggspedition in Mesnes Park, Newton
An Easter Eggspedition will take place at the Mesnes Park's Rangers Centre in Newton-le-Willows from noon on Saturday, April 16. The event is free - follow the clues to win prizes.
Community Centre's Easter Egg Hunt
The Wonderland Community Centre, Canal Street in St Helens is hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Easter Sunday, April 17, between noon and 2pm. There will be games, music food and fun.
Tickets are £10 per child.
Easter Egg Hunt at Allotments
Cabbage Hall Community Allotments at Hard Lane will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt on Saturday, April 16 between 1pm and 4pm. There will be an egg hunt, painting and games. Tickets for the hunt (£2.50) can be bought in advance by contacting cabbagehallcic@gmail.com
Egg-citing Easter at Church Square shopping centre
Come and make bunny ears and Easter Baskets in a workshop and take part in the Easter Bunny Trail to find all the hidden eggs. The event is at Chruch Square Shopping centre in St Helens between 10am and 4pm on Saturday, April 16.
Kids can have a crack-ing selfie taken with their giant bunny ears and post it on their post or tag them for the chance to win a £50 store voucher of your choice!
Easter trail at the World of Glass
The World of Glass at Chalon Way, St Helens is hosting a family Easter trail on Saturday, April 16 between 10 and 4pm. On handing in your completed trail, kids are automatically entered into a prize draw to win one of the beautiful glass eggs.
Easter family fun at Haydock Park Racecourse
There will be an afternoon of Jump racing action on Saturday, April 16 with lots of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy.

- Easter Egg Rodeo Bull
- Face Painters.
- Balloon Modeler
- Easter Rabbit Mascot

This year the course is running an Easter Egg Hunt that will run between noon to 3.30pm, clues will be around the racecourse giving first come first serve visitors the chance to win an Easter prize once they have found all the clues plus the opportunity to get your picture taken with the whole family once you have collected your prize!
All performance times and attractions are operational between noon and 5pm. Subject to change. Tickets for adults start from £20.
