HERE are details of three recent separate cases of defendants who have failed to comply with court orders or supervision rewuirements.

The cases were heard at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court.

-A 32-YEAR-OLD man who failed to comply with supervision requirements after being released from prison has been fined.

Ryan James Houghton, of Dentons Green Lane, Dentons Green, failed to attend an office visit on August 26 last year.

He had been sentenced to 11 weeks in custody at the court in March.

Houghton was fined £120 for the breach and made to pay costs of £60.

 

-A MAN who admitted to breaching a restraining order will be sentenced later this month.

Carl Stephen Hogan, of Mersey Street, Parr, pleaded guilty to three breaches of a restraining order.

Hogan, 31, contacted a female he was prohibited from doing do On November 14, November 26 and November 27 last year.

A restraining order imposed by the court in July 2020 had banned him from doing so.

Hogan was remanded on conditional bail until February 21 as the case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report to be prepared.

 

- A 42-YEAR-OLD man has been sent to jail after he breached a domestic violence protection order.

Anthony John Corrigan, of Hollingsworth Court, St Helens, admitted to flouting the order in court.

He contacted a female on January 29 this year, breaking the conditions of the order.

He was imprisoned for 28 days. 

A court sheet said a jail sentence was passed as the offence was considered so serious "because the defendant has a flagrant disregard for court orders".
