A MAN who interfered with a vehicle with intent to steal has been made to pay compensation.
Darren Jacobs, of Tully Avenue, Newton-le-Willows, appeared at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates’ Court on January 25.
Jacobs, 34, pleaded guilty to a charge of vehicle interference.
He admitted to on September 14 last year, interfering with a Chevrolet Kalos in Newton-le-Willows with the intention of theft.
He was hit with a community order and must comply with an electronic tag for a period of 35 days.
Jacobs must also pay £450 in compensation.
His guilty plea was taken into account upon sentencing.
