MANY people will be booking or going for their booster Covid vaccinations after the Prime Minister's announcement on Sunday.

Boris Johnson brought forward the target of offering a COVID-19 booster jab to every adult to by the end of this month in a bid to offset the Omicron variant.

The target had previously been the end of January, but that has been brought forward by a month.

The Prime Minister said everyone eligible aged 18 and over in England will have the chance to get their booster before the new year.

More than 40 per cent of UK adults have already had a booster vaccination.

The ‘emergency operation’ will be assisted by deploying 42 military planning teams across every region and setting up additional vaccine sites and mobile units.

Opening hours will be extended so that clinics are open seven days a week, with more appointments early in the morning, in the evening, and at weekends.
