THE St Helens Santa Dash will make a return next weekend.
Peopled are being urged to dust off their running trainers and dig out your Christmas jumpers for the event at Victoria Park on Saturday, December 11.
The family-friendly 4k fun run is organised by St Helens Borough Council’s Sports Development team.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions, last year’s Santa Dash was changed to a virtual 5k challenge.
Councillor Anthony Burns, St Helens Borough Council’s cabinet member for wellbeing, culture and heritage, said:
“Our Sports Development team do a fantastic job of arranging affordable activities that provide the perfect mixture of fun and fitness – with the Santa Dash always a popular choice given the community and festive feel it brings.
“It was a great shame we couldn’t put this on last year, along with our other Christmas events, but I’m sure we’ll more than make up for this year.
"We’ve also got Santa and real reindeer visiting St Helens town centre that day (12pm to 4pm) so there should be a great festive atmosphere about the place.”
