ST HELENS' young acting star Jude Riordan left viewers with tears in their eyes with his powerful performance in Coronation Street screened last night.
Wednesday's double header saw Jude's character Sam Blakeman deal with the heartbreak of his mum's death.
The storyline saw Harvey (Will Mellor) escape from prison last week and hunt down Leanne Battersby on a revenge mission.
However, he accidentally shot Natasha Blakeman as she was in the same costume as Leanne during the Halloween-themed episodes.

Natasha died from her gunshot injuries in Monday's episode, leaving behind her son Sam, who is played by Lea Green actor Jude Riordan.
On Wednesday, viewers saw Sam bravely deal with the grief of losing his mum.
In poignant scenes, Sam, who has become a fans' favourite on the cobbles, discussed the loss of his mum and asked dad Nick to see her body.
Viewers took to social media to praise the emotional performance from the 10-year-old St John Vianney School pupil.
