REGISTRATION for this year's St Helens Scarecrow Festival is now closed and residents have once again highlighted their amazing imagination with creative designs erected around the town.
With the deadline to be added to the trail map of scarecrows and be in with a chance to win the top prizes ending yesterday (October 27), it will be a tense few days to see which creation is crowned winner.
After the wild success of last year's festival, raising more than £24,000 for Willowbrook Hospice, the festival has once again inspired residents to raise funds for Willowbrook and the Standing Tall Foundation.
Johnny Vegas will once again judge the most creative designs and choose which three scarecrows win the top prizes on Monday, November 1.
In aid of the two local charities, the top prizes are £500 donated by the Griffin Inn in Eccleston, £250 donated by Odin Recruitment and £100.
