THREE men were arrested after a train was held up at Newton-le-Willows railway station due to anti-social behaviour on-board.
Train services were disrupted due to the incident at Newton-le-Willows which meant the line was blocked.

Shortly after 11.30am, Northern said: "Due to the emergency services dealing with an incident between Newton-le-Willows and Eccles the line is blocked towards Manchester
"Train services running through these stations will be cancelled or delayed by up to 30 minutes".
Services have since returned to normal, Northern has confirmed.

British Transport Police (BTP) confirmed they have arrested three suspects in connection with the incident.
A BTP spokesman said: "British Transport Police were called to a train being held at Newton-le-Willows railway station at 11.07am today (October 26) following reports of anti-social behaviour on-board.
"Officers attended, and three men were arrested on suspicion of public order offences and common assault before being conveyed to police custody."
