FIREFIGHTERS have been called to a fire at a former pub building in St Helens town centre.
Crews attended the Raven Lodge shortly before 1pm today.
The incident remains ongoing.
Crews were alerted at 12.49pm on Tuesday, October 19 and on scene at 12.54pm.
Four fire engines and an aerial appliance are at the scene.
A fire service spokesperson said: "Two teams of two firefighters are wearing breathing apparatus, both using thermal imaging cameras and hose reel jets to assist with firefighting activities.
"Merseyside Police are also in attendance assisting with traffic management."
Firefighting is also taking place outside the building.
