THE St Helens Borough Business Awards are to be held tonight, Friday.

Organisers St Helens Chamber and St Helens Borough Council revealed the those shortlisted for awards in August.

The winners in each category (see list below) will be unveiled at the awards ceremony, taking place this evening Friday, October 15, at Saints' Totally Wicked Stadium.

Rachel Collins, head of business services at St Helens Chamber, said: “We had a fantastic response to the awards and the judging panel was left with a very difficult task, but we have a very strong shortlist and all the businesses and students who entered should be proud of their achievements.

"We are now looking forward to announcing the winners at the award ceremony which promises to be a glamorous celebration of our wonderful businesses and our people.”

Cllr Kate Groucutt, cabinet member for Business, Education and Skills at St Helens Borough Council, said: “It is fantastic that so many businesses and students across St Helens borough have achieved so much despite the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.”

“By celebrating their successes and shining a spotlight on the entrepreneurship and innovation that is happening in our borough, we can inspire the next generation and encourage more businesses to set up or relocate here.

"Everyone who entered should be proud of the contribution they are making to our community.”

The winning businesses in the national awards categories will be entered into the British Chamber of Commerce Business Awards, which will take place in December.

The St Helens Brough Business Awards which are sponsored by Paramount Digital, and supported by Glass Futures and Torus are designed to recognise and celebrate the success and accomplishments of businesses from all sectors.
