TWO cars including a Mini were involved in a crash on the East Lancs near Haydock Island this morning (Wednesday).
The collision, between a Mini and a Peugeot Boxer, took place at around 8am between Millfield Lane and Junction 23 of the M6.
Damage to the vehicles was sustained but no injuries were suffered in the crash, a police spokesman said.

The Merseyside Police spokesman said: "There was a damage-only collision reported at 8.05am and involving Mini and Peugeot Boxer.
"There were no injuries and details were exchanged.
"It happened on the East Lancs just before Haydock Island."
Meanwhile, in a separate incident there was another crash on the East Lancs this morning, in Eccleston at Catchdale Moss Lane, after which a man was arrested on suspicion of drink driving.
