AN AMBULANCE van carrying a patient was involved in a crash on the St Helens Linkway.
The van and another vehicle were in collision on Sunday evening, October 3 on the Linkway, close to Elton Head Road.
There were no serious injuries suffered as a result of the crash, North West Ambulance said.
Meanwhile, another ambulance was called to take the existing patient to hospital.

A North West Ambulance Service spokesperson said, “On Sunday, October 3, an ambulance carrying a patient to hospital was involved in a road collision on St Helens Linkway at around 6.30pm.
“No one suffered a serious injury, while another ambulance was needed to take the existing casualty to the hospital.”
Meanwhile, a Merseyside Police spokeswoman added: "At around 6.30pm yesterday (Sunday, October 3) officers were called to a report of a collision involving two cars on St Helens Linkway.
"Both drivers suffered minor injuries and received treatment at the scene.
"No arrests were made."
