A ROAD close to the borough's boundary was closed on Thursday evening as police were called to a man on a bridge.
Watkinson Way, Widnes was closed after a report of a concern for safety on Thursday, September 9.
Officers attended and spoke with the man, who was taken to hospital.

A Cheshire Police spokeswoman said: "Officers were called just before 7.25pm to Watkinson Way following reports of the concern for the safety of a man on a bridge.
"Police swiftly attended the scene and spoke with the man.
"He was then taken to hospital.
"A road closure was in place as a precaution."
