PLANS have been put forward to widen paths in Sherdley Park to support an increased number of walkers and cyclists using them.
An application has been posted on to the local authority's planning listings seeking permission for the changes.
The proposals are for the "widening of selected existing paths in Sherdley Park" which is "to support an increased number of walking and cycling journeys".
A description of the plans says this will create "new and improved walking and cycling routes as part of the St Helens Southern Gateway package through Sherdley Park and Sutton Park in St Helens".
The planning application is on standard consultation to the public until Wednesday, September 22.
A determination deadline has been set for November 15.
