HERE is a look at five planning applications, which have either been submitted to or approved by St Helens Council which we have reported on in the past month.
Redevelopment of Stork Inn
A planning application for the proposed redevelopment of a historic pub building to create apartments was submitted to the council.
Initial proposals for the Stork Inn site on Main Street, Billinge had been shared on the website of planning consultants Grimster Planning earlier in March and led to strong opposition from residents and councillors.
Developers SEP Construction Services put forward formal plans in August for the proposed redevelopment of land and buildings at the site with an application submitted to St Helens Council.
They say the application is for a conversion of the building into eight apartments in addition to the creation of a complimentary building consisting of 18 apartments.

Owned by local entrepreneur Ian Pitts, Imperial Quarter looks to bring a vibrant, city-centre vibe to St Helens, with the site housing a series of street food units, bars, as well as an ice-cream shop.
Construction work is already well underway, but this decision is the final confirmation that the Quarter can continue with their proposals and open to the public.

A design and access statement in the plans, drawn up by planning agents MB Building Solutions, states the application is "the culmination of 18 months of work by the club to find a home".
