KRISTIAN Woolf is expecting to name one of his strongest line-ups of the season when St Helens face Hull FC in the Betfred Challenge Cup semi-finals at Leigh Sports Village on Saturday, kick-off 2.30pm.

Wingers Tommy Makinson and Regan Grace have shaken off foot and concussion issues respectively, while niggles picked up in Friday night’s Super League win against Hull FC by Agnatius Paasi and Mark Percival are responding well.

Woolf’s biggest headache is likely to be how he fits all his aces into the 17, including the versatile Jack Welsby who covered on the wing last time out and crossed for a hat-trick of tries.

“Tommy Makinson and Regan Grace are both 100 per cent available so we’ll look to bring them back in somewhere,” said Woolf.

“At this stage both Agnatius Paasi and Mark Percival are certainly tracking well and I’ll be saying at this stage they are going to play. They’ve a little bit to get through there yet but all signs are positive.”

And when asked about Welsby’s position if his regular wing duo Makinson and Grace return, Woolf said: “He’ll be in our 17, there’s no doubt about that. He’s too good a player not to have in our 17 every week.

“And as I’ve said before, wherever we put Jack he finds a way to make it work and to play really well so we’ll figure something out so that we’ve got a bit of a plan.”
