A TEENAGER has been charged with possession of cannabis after police conducted a stop and search in Whiston.
Officers were on patrol on Dragon Lane when they carried out a stop and search last Thursday, March 18.
They seized a quantity of cannabis and a large kitchen knife, pictured.

In a statement police confirmed 17-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled drug and possession of a bladed article.
A Merseyside Police spokesman has since confirmed that a 17-year-old boy from Kirkby has been charged with possession of cannabis.
He has been bailed until a date in May.
Meanwhile, no further action has been taken in relation to the knife but forensic enquiries are ongoing, he added.
