A MAN from St Helens has been charged by police after a firearm was found in Liverpool.
Four men have been charged following the recovery of the firearm in Toxteth on the night of Thursday, March 11.
Among them is 24-year-old James McGlade, from St Helens.
McGlade, of Lower Hall Street, St Helens, has been charged with selling or transferring a prohibited weapon.

Meanwhile, Thomas Lawler, 23, of Corinto Street, Toxteth has been charged with selling or transferring a prohibited weapon and possession of ammunition
Sefer Allushi, 26, of no fixed address and Erald Sida, 31, of Nursery Road, Bloxwich, Walsall, were also both charged with selling or transferring a prohibited weapon and possession of a firearm.
The four men will all appear at Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Magistrates' Court this morning (Saturday, March 13).
Two other people, a 50-year-old man from Toxteth and a 45-year-old woman from Gateacre have been released under investigation.
